What I'm up to currently...
When you're freelance and a hired gun for projects, You better know how to answer this question....
Helps me 'define' the crazy, diverse, improbable life that I've created.
Today is Saturday, and I'm at my cabin in northern Minnesota. It's on a lake, and the view is extraordinary. The wind is chilly and it's cool... at least for June in Minnesota. I'm working on a website, and also thinking about my professional life. Grateful to have the opportunity to do so, on both fronts.
"Working" on my client's website entails analyzing our analytics. This is both for the organic side of things, and the Pay-Per-Click (PPC) side of things. All of this, I oversee. Analyzing these analytics and making tweaks to the system is the largest piece of this client's business for me.
I am also currently working on adding the extra backlinks that google is so fond of. This isn't hard, but it's not easy, and it's time consuming... But I LOVE the results I'm seeing. Our organic is KILLING it! Meaning that we are seeing a great amount of new patients garnered from the internet, and specifically, our organic search results. And that makes it all worthwhile...
I'm also writing a bit of copy. I do this for our online presence for the local Magazines like Mpls-St. Paul, Minnesota Magazine, and I am working out a deal with two national publications who print ads for local businesses within their National printing process. It's expensive, but the Brand Recognition is worth it.
In General, I am a Business Manager, Planner, Producer for Advertising. Currently. And for this particular client....
For the last 20+ years, I've been a broadcast producer and production supervisor for national TV ads. A world I loved for many years...
( Hey, check out my work HERE )
But I'm moving out of that world. As Christine Vaschon says : "you have to have the stomach for it".
I watched this short the other day, and it really did resolve me: "Nope Amy, you don't have the stomach for it...anymore"
So, my current line of work, as a business manager, is paying off. I'm confident that I've got a unique and curated skill set. And, If I'm being bold, I'd ask you: "How can my services help YOU?"
